A vision for the next chapter

Help build a bridge
from recovery to purpose.

I’m exploring a transition toward full-time work in speaking, reentry consulting, and the development of Fishing with Jesus. This vision is being shared for conversation and planning.

Angola Field Minister Training

Why this work matters

Support should continue
after the prison gate.

Recovery and reentry need relationships that last. My vision is to help connect people participating in recovery inside prison with churches, recovery communities, and practical support after release.

My experience with The Living Harvest and correctional ministry has shaped the belief that welcoming communities and purposeful service can help people build a new life.

Fishing with Jesus mission

Equip people to serve.

Fishing with Jesus equips churches, organizations, and individuals to develop Christ-centered ministries that connect recovery inside prison with practical support after release, strengthen Celebrate Recovery, and prepare leaders to serve people seeking transformation through Jesus Christ.

Fishing with Jesus vision

Communities of transformation.

We envision communities where churches, organizations, and individuals work together so that people affected by addiction and incarceration can find lasting recovery, a welcoming community, opportunities to serve, and a transformed life in Jesus Christ.

Three parts of the vision

Encourage. Equip. Connect.

Share hope

Bring my testimony and 40 Winters to prisons, churches, recovery groups, and families who need encouragement.

Equip communities

Help churches and organizations plan reentry ministries, prepare volunteers, and build recovery-centered relationships.

Develop ministry

Equip churches, organizations, and individuals to develop ministries for reentry, Celebrate Recovery, and transformation, including pathways for released Field Ministers to prepare for leadership.

A proposed transition

Build thoughtfully.
Serve sustainably.

I’m considering how to move toward this work full time. Timing and the final structure remain under review.

01

Clarify the plan

Define the roles, partnerships, budget, and milestones needed to move forward.

02

Prepare the foundation

Develop ministry materials, book distribution plans, services, and the relationships needed to carry out the work.

03

Discuss support

Talk with potential supporters about specific needs, intended use of funds, and how progress would be communicated.

For potential supporters

Let’s discuss what your support could make possible.

Potential needs include book distribution, ministry travel, volunteer training, program planning, and the resources needed for a responsible transition into full-time work.

Before any contribution, we will clarify whether support is for Fishing with Jesus’s nonprofit ministry or for Dale’s personal transition and independent work. The recipient, purpose, and terms will be identified separately.
